Now, a few days after the announcement of Bitmain's Antminer X3 ASIC machine running the CryptoNight algorithm, more and more places are legitimately raising concerns that by the time we'd receive the machine, we could immediately throw it in the trash. But why? 😀 That's because the Monero (XMR) Hard Fork is here, with which they're trying to resist these mining machines gaining legitimacy in the given cryptocurrency's mining. Yet why is it that regarding the Monero Hard Fork, the official Monero (XMR) Twitter page (https://twitter.com/monerocurrency/status/964484507352141825) and announcement (https://getmonero.org/2018/02/11/PoW-change-and-key-reuse.html) mentions that MoneroV has no official connection to them and they very nicely ask their users to handle the MoneroV (https://monerov.org) initiative with caution as the whole thing is presumably a scam.

I absolutely don't want to pass judgment because the information is still too fresh, so it would be necessary to wait a few days to write more concretely about whether we can actually view MoneroV as an improved successor or just another scam that only further undermines people's faith in cryptocurrencies.

One thing is certain! It's worth treating the MoneroV website and the information published there with reservations, since based on information from the Monero team itself, they don't have much to do with any of this. It would be difficult to find a more credible source for this reason.
What else might be important! We should also treat the Bitmain Antminer X3 ASIC machine running on the CryptoNight algorithm with reservations considering the above, and let's not forget that the Monero (XMR) team is committed to not allowing the incredible computing power differences that ASIC machines bring. They can influence this relatively simply and easily, and unfortunately (for those who invest in such a machine) they can render such a machine's capabilities useless in an instant.
It's hard to decide now what to do. Should I order a Bitmain Antminer X3machine running at 220 KH/s on the CryptoNight algorithm for 3 million, or rather buy AMD EPYC™ processors? Or should I buy Monero (XMR) so that when MoneroV (XMV) comes, I can multiply my purchased Monero amount tenfold? Or should I go to a certified hacker course and use the knowledge gained there to integrate my own CoinHive Script into the most-read websites? 😀
Good question, but I wouldn't do any of these right now! The safest step at this moment is to not make a move, so we definitely can't slip up. True, this way we also don't give ourselves the chance to create a room full of XMR or XMV coins and jump into it, Scrooge McDuck style. 😀 Let's rather read how much money is in that famous duck's safe: https://index.hu/tudomany/brittudosok/2012/04/24/mennyi_penze_van_dagobert_bacsinak
