The news has resurfaced in many places that on February 19, 2018, a new cryptocurrency based on the SHA256 algorithm — better known from Bitcoin — would launch. It would be promising if it were real, but it's not. Charlie Lee confirmed on the LTC Twitter page that Litecoin Cash (LCC) is a scam and not a real fork but a simple GitHub clone that you should be careful with. Investing in it is definitely not recommended.

The idea itself could be interesting, as Litecoin Cash (LCC) has good features according to its description, not to mention that due to the SHA256 algorithm, many ASIC mining machines could be switched over to mining Litecoin Cash (LCC).
The https://twitter.com/ltccash the two posts found on the site don't give reason for optimism either, and the https://cryptocurrencytalk.com/topic/87483-ann-ico-litecoin-cash-litecoin-hard-fork-ico/ the description found on the site something was written by some Latoshi dude who presumably wanted to choose a funny similar name after the "discoverer" of Bitcoin (about whom we still don't know to this day whether he is a person, a group, or perhaps an alien?) and wanted to pick some cool similar-sounding name. And the Hungarian crypto guy will be MagyarOSHI or what? Ridiculous… 😀
The description mentions the https://www.lcash.org site isn't really up to par either, as nothing loads. But it doesn't matter, we're better off quickly getting Litecoin Cash (LCC) out of our heads because this is a scam, nothing more, nothing less.
